View Full Version : This was a episode that made Jack looked like he belonged in a NUT HOUSE
TVFactFan 10-18-2014, 12:42 AM Why the hell would he accept a job pretending to be David Miller when he had to cash a check at some point? LOL LOL
How the hell was he going to cash a check being David Miller if his Photo ID said Jack Tripper? LOL
Mace Dolex 10-18-2014, 03:00 AM LOL yeah clearly Jack didn't have that planned out, and I'm surprised that Janet being the more reasonable one didn't point that out to him.
And I guess Angelino had a change of heart since he hired Jack back later in season 6.

Wasn't he dumb enough to quit a job he already had before he went down there to apply to work for Mr. Angelino? He thought he was a shoo-in because he had a letter of recommendation from Dean Travers.
Dianne3 10-18-2014, 04:46 PM Everything happened so fast.
You gotta remember that
1. Angelino said that he wouldn't hire some nobody named Jack Tripper. "I don't want a Tripper tripping over my dishes."
2. Jack was confident about his cooking skills. It was getting in the door that was the hard part. He was confident that once Angelino tasted his cooking, he would get to keep the job full-time. If that had happened, Jack would have then revealed his true identity and wouldn't be cashing in David Miller's cheque.
3. Jack had already quit his other job.
So, I can see why this happened like it did.

Actually, this is a different episode.
So my point no. 3 is wrong. Jack didn't quit his job in the David Miller episode.

But if no one was looking for him and he never got fired that fool would have been working under someone's name lol Plus how could he even get paid with no SSN to back up he is David Miller?
Damm this was a dumb episode

is there a episode ever explaining how he was able to work at Angelino's again after pretending to be David Miller?

Yeah I can see if the guy at the fancy restaurant called Jack because he TALKED to Dean Travers but not just going to a place with a LOR and the guy had not called him yet
Actually, this is a different episode.

My bad. Clearly I gotta watch them again. I've seen almost all of them by now.
is there a episode ever explaining how he was able to work at Angelino's again after pretending to be David Miller?
Nope. That was one of the plot holes in the Season 6 premiere episode and part of the reason why it was so lame.

I think I may have to agree with you LOL So we just see Jack working at Angelino's with no explanation about how he was able to get hired as Jack Tripper?

Well Angelino did say that he was giving Jack another chance here so at least that was referenced.
