This expression was used about three times...does anyone know who said the expression and what were the circumstances they said it.

I know June once asked Ward if they could stretch a point in Wally's Orchid. Can't think of others right off hand.

When the boys buy Ward's Hunting Jacket at Abernathy Potts Sporting Goods, Beaver and Wally count out the money to hand to the salesperson. The salesmen notes, "What an extraordinary looking coin." I can't remember what Beaver says it is. I know it's not a coin. The man says, "I think we can stretch a point and accept it."

Yes those are two times that stick out in my mind...love the Englishman at Abernathy Potts....."Abernathy Potts does not carry air weapons." He sells Aunt Martha that short pants suit for Beaver but lots of times they edit it out.

Wally- Our father goes duck hunting. Beaver- They're birds. Salesman- Quite.

There is one more time and I heard it a while ago. Ward uses the expression.

Ward might have used that expression several times but he does say it at the breakfast table when Beaver wants to invite Chopper Cooper from Camp Konig to visit for the upcoming weekend...Ward says I guess we can stretch a point and have him come this weekend.
