Because Tim Allen's in it? or if you need you fix of Tim Allen then watch Toy Story.

not sure why? I mean the show was still in the top 10 Nielsens when it left the air. It also did really well in syndication but for some reason they just stopped airing reruns.

I think Home Improvement would be a great fit for some certain channels like:
1. LOGO TV
2. WE TV Network
3. ME TV Network
4. Uplifting Network
5. Oxygen

Otherwise put Home Improvement back on the local channels!!!

I recently wrote about HI and why it seems to have faded from the public's consciousness when compared to other shows of its era for TV Tropes (http://tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pmwiki.php/DeaderThanDisco/LiveActionTV):
During the '90s, Home Improvement was neck and neck Seinfeld for the distinction of being the biggest sitcom on TV. The latter is entrenched into pop culture, while with the former, people would probably struggle to name 5 characters from the show today. While Home Improvement for the most part, wasn't necessarily a bad show (it was definitely smarter and more likable than almost anything on TGIF during that era with the exception of maybe, Boy Meets World), it was none the less, merely an okay one. Therefore, if you wanted sharper, cutting edge comedy, your best bets at the time were The Simpsons, Seinfeld, Roseanne, and Married... with Children. Despite being one of the highest-rated show on TV for years, it isn't brought up very often, nor do you see it on TV as much as, say, Seinfeld, Friends, or even Frasier.

I've been watching season 1 and 2 on DVD, it sucks it's not on tv anymore but thankful I have all 8 seasons on dvd

I hope LAFF picks up the rights to this show...

I am about ready to file a big lawsuit against Hallmark Channel if they don't put Home Improvement back on the Hallmark Channel this fall.

Tim Allen is on Last Man Standing, but he will continue appearing in more movie projects along the way.

I think the Home Improvement reruns are currently on hiatus right now. I hope they will put Home Improvement back on the Hallmark Channel in January when Last Man Standing joins the lineup.

Hallmark Channel is bringing back Home Improvement this Friday night at 8PM.
