"The Goldbergs" Taps "Suburgatory" Alum to Romance Barry (Exclusive)

Beverly Goldberg is about to play matchmaker on ABC's "The Goldbergs".
The 1980s-set comedy has tapped "Suburgatory" alum Allie Grant for a guest role, The Hollywood Reporter has learned.
Grant will return to "Suburgatory's" former time slot and play Evelyn in an upcoming episode. Evelyn is described as a mini-version of Beverly (Wendi McLendon-Covey) — she has big blonde hair, an affection for loud sweaters and scrapbooking and has an uncontrollable need to smother even though she's a teenager.
Barry's (Troy Gentile) smother-mother Beverly will set her eldest son up with Evelyn in an episode set to air in 2015 with the potential to possibly return.
