ABC’s Cristela premiered on Friday night to 6.6 million total viewers and a 1.3 rating, making it the fall’s second-most watched comedy debut (behind black-ish) and the first sitcom to build on its Last Man Standing lead-in since Malibu Country in November 2012.

Versus The Neighbors‘ year-ago premiere, Cristela was up 43 and 8 percent.

Let's see if it has staying power of if people will tire of it since viewing the first episode.

I got tired of it even though I DVR'd it.

It was okay, but it felt like I was watching a comedy club routine. They fired off their lines one right after the other without much of a break. I'll watch another episode or 2 to see if it gets better.

I'm starting to wonder if ABC has a special after Last Man Standing, 8:30 Friday night death-slot (http://tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pmwiki.php/Main/FridayNightDeathSlot).

I'll give it another shot with tonights 2nd episode but man it's torture, I don't know what worse having to sit through it or hearing all the fabricated critic blurbs saying "Best New Fall Comedy", "Hilarious", and my favorite that I heard on the radio "In the tradition of Roseanne" :rolleyes:
