I'm fairly sure this is an instance of "damage control." In her self-written bio, she refers mostly to her critically-acclaimed stage work. Zero references to the crappy TV and Lifetime movies or other television sitcom appearances. Strangely, her charity work was also omitted, but I always had the feeling DeWitt wanted to be known first as a "serious actress."
