If you've got AOL all you have to do is go to your "Sent" folder and click "Status"

e mail tracking....

how about this, say you use hotmail or yahoo ( one of those web based e mail serivces ) is there a way someone can get your password and once you sign off is there a way someone can go on the computer and go into your account?

My co-worker swears he can go into any hotmail or yahoo account and sees who sends what where and also reads the mail
you received.

He says he uses it to prevent people from using the work computers for non work activites. I say its a invasion of privacy.

Well if the computer uses cookies then when you go to log in, it will automaticley fill in the name and password, or he is using one of those programs that tracks every key you press so he knows your password then(Because it recorded you typing it in)
