Hard choice but I chose Bewitched. Side note, happy 60th Anniversary to Father Knows Best debuted 1954.

Bewitched: mainly because of Endora.

 It was also a hard choice for me to make, but I did pick Bewitched as my favorite. 2. Gilligan's Island,3. The Munsters, 4. The Addams Family, 5. Gomer Pyle U.S.M.C. I do have all 5 of these shows complete on DVD.

The Addams Family, easily. I also like the first couple of seasons of Bewitched, as well as The Munsters, but it's not even close, since The Addams Family is my favorite 1960s sitcom.

This was a very tough choice for me, since this group might be one of the best fall crops of new sitcoms in TV history. I picked "Gilligan's Island" which I love just slightly more than "Bewitched", Overall, I would rank the group this way:

1. Gilligan's Island
2. Bewitched
3. The Munsters
4. The Addams Family
5. Gomer Pyle USMC

Gomer Pyle might be the weakest of this group for me but if you put it up against the sitcoms that are debuting in 2014, it would easily without any doubt be #1 on my list.

1) Bewitched (the Dick York years)
2) Gomer Pyle USMC (Nabors and Sutton made a great team)
3) (tie) Munsters/Addams Family... really the same show?
4) Gilligans Island (the only really bad show of this bunch)

4. The Addams Family
5. Gomer Pyle USMC

The funny thing is that I liked all of these shows growing up in reruns in the 1970's, before cable. Now that I am an adult, and to me, these shows are very childish, and I have outgrown all of them.

The only one of the five I really hated was Gilligan's Island. Just 22 minutes of pure awfulness.

Bewitched is probably the best of the list. Felt sorry for Darren because his mother in law was a Bi-atch who hated him and has superpowers. Even that show to me is childish, something that would be on ABC Fridays (which ironically I think was on ABC on Fridays...or was that The Brady Bunch?)

I have watched both The Addams Family and The Munsters. Hate to beat the same old opinion, but especially The Munsters, was so juvenile. The Addams Family was a bit more mature, but not much.

Loved Gomer Pyle as a kid and especially Sargeant Carter yelling at him. Again, saw a few episodes and just did not like it very much, although Gomer and Jim Nabors is just impossible to dislike.

To me, the only really two TV shows that stand up is the B&W Andy Griffith Show and Dick Van Dyke. The rest are childish, dated and quaint.

Some classics on the list, for certain, but my sentimental vote would have to go to Bewitched! :)

I was a big fan of the following 1964 sitcoms:

Broadside
My Living Doll
Wendy and Me
No Time For Sergeants
Karen
Many Happy Returns
Mickey
The Tycoon
The Cara Williams Show
The Baileys of Balboa
Valentine's Day

Out of those, I would have to say that Wendy and Me and My Living Doll probably hold up the best.
