Are there shows you would never seek out, but that are j-u-s-s-s-t good enough if you have a half hour to kill? Such shows would usually be pleasant rather than having a lot of shouting or a really irritating character. Episodes of the show would be of pretty even quality, so it wouldn't be something that had two good seasons followed by several awful ones. Even one strength - maybe someone in a small role before they became famous - is a plus.
Here's some of mine:
Hazel
Love Boat
Bosom Buddies
Coach
Dear John
Kate & Allie
Doogie Howser, MD
Benson
Step by Step
Sabrina the Teenage Witch
My Name Is Earl
UK: To the Manor Born
If I was really desperate and just a little curious at the same time, I might try watching at least one of these series:
Hazel
The Patty Duke Show
The Real McCoys
The Mothers In Law
Bachelor Father
Fantasy Island
My Little Margie
My Mother The Car
My Living Doll
The Green Hornet
The Bill Cosby Show (1969)
PS: Alan, if you wish to add another series to your perfect sitcoms list, why not "The Andy Griffith Show"? I think it fits in very well with the others you picked. Just a thought...

I guess Love Boat and Fantasy Island are my 2 :)

I don't tune into anything like that now, since I have plenty of purchased DVDs, DVR-recorded shows and streaming to keep me occupied with series that I actively seek out, but... up through the 1990s, shows that were j-u-s-s-s-s-s-t watchable enough for me not to tune out, if they happened to be on, would include:
The Donna Reed Show
Family Affair
The Brady Bunch
The Ghost and Mrs. Muir
Gidget
The Flintstones
The Jetsons
My Three Sons (mainly the color seasons... I know the earlier black & white seasons with 'Bub' were better, though I barely got to see any of them)
Bewitched (though I do own the first couple of (better) seasons on DVD, for nostalgia)
I Dream of Jeannie (ditto)
