Good Times was not a soap opera who's continuity was presented as a daily day-to-day consecutive timeline. Like most sitcoms, unless they are presented as a 2 or 3 parter, the adventures of characters can occur over as much as a year after the last episode.

I would think viewers would want to see James and Florida complete it and receive their diplomas. It would be a very positive episode and encouraging to any viewer who might be attending night school.

We did see James complete a school they were never saw him enroll in LOL
