Hi,

Before I begin I wanted to say I've signed up specifically to talk about this and I also want to say I've watched up to season 4 episode 4 and no more so I'd appreciate if people would not give any spoilers past season 4 episode 4.

I've always viewed Mike and Molly as a sitcom but also as sitcom soap meaning it had comedy moments and was styled in a sitcom way but had a good sensible running storyline running in the background. It wasn't your basic sitcom and it had sitcom elements (some of the gags used and the setting was sitcom) but the story running through the seasons made it more than just a sitcom it was basically like a soap drama.

However Mike and Molly from Season 4 onwards is terrible. Like I said I've watched 4 episodes and I feel like I can't watch any more because its turned into your run of the mill sitcom that quite frankly we've seen before. I mean take episode 4, you have dinner table fight and the 'women comes onto a straight women' gag....its so stupid and that's not what Mike and Molly was about. It used to have an actual story.

I haven't read any other posts on this sub forum but from the titles I can't be the only one who thinks this way but because I've not watched the entire Season 4, I don't want to read it.

Mike and Molly was a great show but season 4 doesn't make any sense and I had wished they had kept the story line of season 3 running as at the end of season 3 you find out Molly is pregnant.

Overall season of Mike and Molly so far has been poorly done and I am wonder, does it get any better?

Again I've only watched up to season 4 episode 4 and would appreciate no spoilers but I wanted to discuss this because its just plain bad in my opinion.

So does it become more like the old Mike and Molly we saw in season 1-3?

Oh that's good?

I take it they had a mid season break and when they returned they decided to make it more story orientated or was it just the bad luck that the first 7 episodes had no story?

I don't know why they decided to get rid of all the work Season 3 had done and Molly getting pregnant etc.
