View Full Version : MLB Wild Card Race
MrCleveland 09-20-2014, 08:28 AM Well...the Orioles and Angels will be in the playoffs in the AL, Nationals and Dodgers in the NL, and 3 more positions are opened in each league.
For the AL-Sadly...It'll be the Mariners, Athletics, and Royals. The Tigers may get the AL Central spot. So that means the Indians won't be in it and the 50 years of futility in Cleveland will be complete! There'll be a webpage about it too, stay tuned!
For the NL-It'll be the Giants and Pirates. The Cardinals will clinch the Central Division in the NL.
Penny Lane 09-20-2014, 11:50 AM I feel your frustration . The Tigers have been there several times in the past 8 years but haven't won a World Series since 1984. They are in the running with The Royals and are 1 1/2 games up on them. They are playing each other this weekend. The Tigers won last night. Hope they can sweep the Royals! Maybe next year MrCleveland! That's what I always say! :D
Sorry guy! Go Tigers!:D

My city IS the City of Next Year, and It's not just the Indians...but the Browns and Cavs. Our city has the worst sports deficit, 50 years and counting!
mets82 09-20-2014, 02:43 PM I think the Indians will have a better chance next year. I like Francona. He's a proven winner. Face it, if the AL Central was a lousy division, you'd win it but with the Tigers and the Royals, your screwed.

Also, It'll be the 100th year when we were called The Indians.
The PC Police want us to change our name or at least phase-out Chief Wahoo! So Cleveland needs a name after 50 years of losing...The Curse of Wahoo, there's even an article about it!...

But if we keep the Indians name, I think we should use the 1920 logo which to me looks a little more respectable which looks like the Chicago Blackhawks logo.
isiahthomas 09-23-2014, 01:07 PM LOL@MrCleveland dissing the Cleveland teams hahahahahahahahahahaha. Hopefully Lebron, Kyrie Irving, Kevin Love can bring championships to Cleveland. Lord knows it's been long overdue for Cleveland Cavs to get a championship LOL. Only time they've been to the championship was in 2007 when they got swept by the Spurs. I don't think the Indians are gonna get a wild card spot for the playoffs. They did beat Kansas City last night and they're 2 1/2 games out.
TVFactFan 09-24-2014, 12:08 AM So will this be another MLB season without these teams in the Postseason?
Yankees
Red Sox

Might as well add the Cleveland Idiots on the list as well...I've lost all hope in them!
50 years of futility...there's NEVER next year!
isiahthomas 09-24-2014, 01:48 PM LOL@MrCleveland hahahahahahahahahahahahahahaha. I'm surprised the Yankees aren't gonna make the playoffs. I saw them play against Baltimore last night and i caught the last inning. Derek Jeter got struck out at the end and Baltimore won 5-4. This is Derek's last year.
MrCleveland 09-25-2014, 08:51 PM The Indians may be out by tonight...
Another time to say the Cleveland Mantra...There's always...I mean...NEVER Next Year!
JackTripper25 09-28-2014, 11:36 AM The Cardinals will clinch the Central Division in the NL.
I hope you're right. We will find out tonight. I certainly don't like the idea of having to face the Giants in a one game playoff.
Underwhelming TBS broadcast sucks the excitement out of a classic game (http://awfulannouncing.com/2014/underwhelming-tbs-broadcast-sucks-excitement-classic-game.html)

I feel the World Series will be the Angels vs. Nationals.
I won't watch the game though.
