Ever watch Adam-12? Do you notice anything different about cops back then compared to today? Two things I notice, 2 cops in the same car, we don't have that in St.Louis. Another thing, they wore hats back then. Outside of the Highway patrol I never see cops around here wearing hats. I once saw a bald cop that pulled someone over on a hot sunny day standing next to the driver's door, uniform was soaked in sweat and his head was as pink as an Easter ham. I would definitely wear a hat if I was bald.

My brother in law is a cop and I've never seen him wear a hat. But his hair is always neatly trimmed and his uniform freshly pressed.

Off topic- Have you noticed that most nurses don't wear their caps anymore? My sister, who is an RN, doesn't wear one because she says it gets in the way when she has to lean over or duck under a machine or something. She says it's a hassle. Well, the problem that I have with that is when someone comes into the hospital room wearing a smock over their clothes I never know if that person is a doctor or a nurse! (or even a cleaning person)They dress the same way!

I've only been in hospitals a couple of times in my life and that was to visit relatives. I don't remember seeing any nurses wearing hats but most of them were male nurses, did they ever wear hats? It seemed like there were a Hell of a lot of people coming in and out of the room doing different things. I'm not sure who was who. Only me and the floor buffer had hats on and I think he was mainly going into the rooms to steal, he always came out carrying a bag.

Ha Ha! Man, am I behind the times! I still think of nurses as female! No, I have never seen a male nurse wear a hat:crazy: And it's been years since I've seen a female nurse wearing her hat. My sister is wearing her hat in her graduation photo from nursing school. She wore her hat for about a week when she started nursing but soon gave it up. It was not a requirement to wear one.:)
