Sara Gilbert, Linda Perry Expecting First Child

Sara Gilbert and Linda Perry are expecting their first child together.

Gilbert, 39, announced on Tuesday's episode of "The Talk" that she's pregnant during a "Face Your Fears" segment, explaining why she won't be confronting her fear of having a cinder block broken on her stomach.

"I really believe in facing your fears, but I actually can't do the dare because I'm pregnant," she said.





Gilbert and Perry, the former lead singer of 4 Non Blondes who now works as a songwriter and music producer, got married in March.

"Thank you everyone for your awesome messages of support. @THEsaragilbert and I are beyond happy." Perry tweeted Tuesday night.

Added Gilbert: "Thank you all. Your warmth and enthusiasm is truly moving."


Gilbert has a 9-year-old son, Levi, and 7-year-old daughter, Sawyer, with her former partner, producer Allison Adler.

Sara Gilbert and Linda Perry Welcome Son

Sara Gilbert gave her co-hosts on "The Talk" something to talk about. The former "Roseanne" star gave birth to a baby son on Saturday, it was announced on Monday's episode.

"Sara is on maternity leave, she just delivered over the weekend," Julie Chen enthusiastically announced.

So what did they name the little nugget? Rhodes Emilio Gilbert Perry.





It's the third child for Gilbert, 40, and her first with wife Linda Perry, the frontwoman for the band 4 Non Blondes. Gilbert also has son Levi, 10, and daughter Sawyer, 7, from a previous relationship.

Gilbert was replaced at "The Talk's" table by Alyssa Milano.
