ABC Family's "Mystery Girls" Canceled
9/8/14
by Philiana Ng
ABC Family is not ordering more "Mystery Girls". The cable network has canceled the half-hour multicamera comedy starring "Beverly Hills, 90210" alums Tori Spelling and Jennie Garth after one season.
Spelling and Garth played two former TV detective show starlets brought back together by a real-life mystery. An ABC Family rep maintains that no official decision has been made.
TVLine first reported the news.
"Mystery Girls" opened to 760,000 viewers on June 25 following the premiere of rookie sitcom "Young & Hungry", before settling in to a mediocre 491,000 weekly average for its 10-episode run.
A formal decision is expected at the end of the month.
