I'm wondering if the Beverly Hillbillies' Irene Dunne is the same Irene Dunne of stage and screen fame, especially the Mother role in "Life With Father"?

The Irene on The Beverly Hillbillies was Irene Ryan, not Irene Dunne.

Yes, Lance is correct. The Irene who played granny on the Beverly Hillbillies is indeed Irene RYAN.
She died in 1971 I believe.

Irene Dunne probably would have rather died than appear on "The Beverly Hillbillies".
