Anybody besides me think Mrs. Roper overreacted by LEAVING Mr. Roper because he sent the trio's guests away because he didn't want a party?
Mrs. Roper kind of acted bad anyway overruling Mr. Roper on his decision and then insulting him to boot.
Mr. Roper had to reassert his authority and respect in some way.
And maybe I'm just an old fuddy duddy but I don't blame him for not wanting a loud party taking place on the floor above him. He owns the building after all, it's his rules.
I wouldn't want any loud parties going on near my apartment either.
And with all the money the kids were spending on that food and booze maybe Mr. Roper knew the kids were going to complain about not having enough money for the rent....again.
