One of the reasons this show remains fun is that it gave legions of old character actors a chance to stretch their wings and "play" Puerto Rican. A recent episode on AntennaTV featured:

-The Cuban Alejandro Rey
-The Italian Vito Scotti
-The Greek-American Michael Constantine
-The Lebanese-American Jamie Farr

My current favorite is Harold Gould as "Rabbi Mendez."

Alejandro Rey was from Argentina in real life, if I'm not mistaken.

He once played a bullfighter on My Three Sons, but I can't remember what nationality he represented on that episode.

And of course there is the ever versitile Chicago born Gino Conforti; who in his long career has played many different ethnic characters. Among his better known roles was Felipe on Three's Company.

He was also in the original production of the Broadway musical Man of La Mancha and the film version. Skip the movie and listen to the original cast album.
