This is sooo tough because I love them all so much but I voted for "BMW". That show holds a special place in my heart.

Mr. Belvedere, Dinosaurs, and Family Matters were funny, but the rest sad to say haven't been to my liking.

I started to pick "FM" but chose "BMW" at the last minute. After thinking about it, I liked "BMW" more back when it originally aired and I like "FM" more now.

Also go with Perfect Strangers. Mark Linn Baker was very underrated.

THANK YOU!

Personally, I always thought Mark Linn Baker was far superior than Bronson Pinchot ever was in the series.

Even as a child I did and as an adult I still do...

Boy Meets World, no question. Though I do still enjoy most of the TGIF shows. I'm surprised no one has made a rerun block and aired them together.

He about literally vanished into thin air it seemed, too right after the show ended. I can't think of any TV work at all he's done since then. That happens a lot, an actor/actress gets so associated with a role it's extremely difficult for them to get other roles. If they do get other series work it's nowhere near their initial success. In Mark's case he seemed to walk away from TV entirely after PS.

This is the one poll where picking just one show is truly impossible..but fir the sake of the poll I chose Family Matters, since that comes closest for me as best show.

Instead of an other option how about an "All of the above" option, OP? :p it'd make it a lot easier for people to vote that's for sure!

Probably so, it's certainly not a scientific poll lol, but yes I see your point...it's hard to pick.

Also, I'm very surprised that "Just the Ten of Us" has been chosen third thus far, this isn't to say anything negative at all about the show...but it is surprising to me at least.

Now that you mention it, what about Bronson Pinchot?

Did any of you "TGIF" fans of the late '90's ever switch channels to watch the ill-attempted CBS 'family' "Block Party" line-up?

Ever watch "Meego"?

Bronson Pinchot has been extremely active since Perfect Strangers ended! He's done quite a bit of guest starring in shows since then. Believe it or not, he has his own Reality show that just started recently-called The Bronson Pinchot Project. One of his big hobbies the last few years is buying old houses that need major restoration work and he's doing some of that work on his new show. He owns several properties in Pennsylvania that he's planning to fix up. Bronson said in his recent Reddit AMA and other recent Interviews he's all for a Perfect Strangers reunion show if they can get everyone's schedules to line up for it so we will see if it happens!

The year CBS did Friday Night Block Party was during my last year of High School so I wasn't able to see a whole lot of either that or TGIF that year. The Fridays I DID get to see it what i did was watch Family Matters on CBS first at 8/7, then flip to ABC for Boy Meets World then back to CBS an hour later for Step By Step. I really wish I'd had more time to support both blocks that year :( I personally wasn't tired of FM, BMW or SBS at all so having to miss them most weeks that year stung. Life just got busier :( I was finally able to see most of the final seasons of FM and SBS a few years back.

I've written a lot here on CBS' Friday Night Block Party here on sitcoms online already so I won't re-tread old ground here. I'll just say Les Moonves had the right idea. He got the right shows for the block but the block came a few years too late. Marketing for the block was dead on the Bulls eye as was the execution. Had Block Party came 3, 4 years sooner than it did it probably would have been a huge hit. I did see a few episodes of Meego. The problem with Meego was everyone wanted to see Bronson Pinchot as their old friend Balki again, not as a weird alien. Bronson's actual voice is nothing like his Balki voice, at ALL. I just don't think people were ready for that. Had Meego starred some other well known actor or someone looking for their big break I think it coulda done modestly well.

If you're curious on my expanded thoughts regarding Block Party and TGIF you should be able to get to those posts pretty easily through my post history :)

You're one of the best new posters we've gotten in a while!

Believe it or not, I've never seen an episode of "JTTOU". I keep hearing only good things about it and I wish some company would finally release it so I could watch it. Shouldn't be too difficult to release as a complete series set since it was only 47 episodes.

It was cute. It was a goofy , bald, chubby guy who was a teacher or a coach at a school or something, and they had lots of kids. Focus was on the teenage daughters mainly! I haven't seen it ever in reruns, so I'm only posting from memory of when it was first run! ;)

I liked that show and also Sabrina the teenage witch! Dinosaurs was cute and at the time I liked Hanging with Mr. Cooper, and Perfect Strangers too. But I still have to go with Mr. Belvedere as my favorite. I'll put Sabrina second and Just the ten of us third. ;)

I keep hoping for a complete series set, but I think the holdup maybe due to the pop songs in it. The teen girls in the show became night club singers at one point and sang pop songs in some episodes. It sounds dumb, but at the time it made sense and was awesome!

But TGIF doesn't mean ABC. That means any Friday show although I acknowledge Fresh Prince wasn't on Friday.

Wasn't Hangin with Mr.Cooper on Fridays?

Wasn't Hangin with Mr.Cooper on Fridays?

Not correct. TGIF which stands for Thank Goodness It's Funny was a specific programming block created by ABC to air their hit family comedies. It refers to a specific block of programming aired on ABC, which happened to air on Friday nights.

Here is a wikipedia link that explains it all:

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/TGIF_(TV_programming_block)

As for Hanging with Mr. Cooper, yes it did air on Friday nights as part of the TGIF block from 1993 to 1996.

Had to go with "Boy Meets World" although I watched most of the block religiously and have seen every episode of it, "Family Matters", "Full House" and "Step by Step." I've also seen all the ABC eps. of "Sabrina" although it's been years since I re-watched them.

"Boy Meets World" (and its spinoff, "Girl Meets World" to a lesser extent) just had such great messages and could tackle serious topics well while adding comedy as well.
