I'm fully aware of the improbability and unfortunate circumstances at play here, but thought I'd take a shot anyway. Yes, the infamous omissions on the season 3 episode "My Friend Ben" as present on the Sony release still bothers me to this day. Surely, SOMEONE out there must have even a fuzzy low-quality broadcast or even syndication copy. Please? I kind of understand eschewing the "Next Week: Part 2" title (and subsequent episode recap that kicks off "Samantha For the Defense"). Also, I can overlook the nanosecond of the cut tankard orb frame; to be sure, it IS incredibly persnickety to remove such a minuscule effect, but since its removal makes the effect match every single other illusion of its kind I can accept the logic behind it. However, to me, the missing laugh track is what really tarnishes this episode. How careless. Although it makes for an interesting experience to watch the show sans canned laughter, I want the real deal. Can anyone out there point me in the right direction even to a badly transferred VHS rendering? And, while I'm hunting for a needle in the haystack, I might as well make a request for that "extended unseen" pilot with extra footage I've heard so much about. Lest this thread get yanked and I get spanked, it should be noted that had Sony given us a better release with real extras, there'd be no need to post this - we fans would gladly have shelled out top dollar for it. :clap:
