This aired a while ago (I think it was on Me TV) and I was sick so in my fever haze I kind of lost the plot on what show I was watching, but it's bugged me for a while. I think it was The Fugitive?

A man drives into a small town and there is some sort of drama involving a young woman and a bank. Later he finds where she lives. I believe he had car trouble or it was tampered with. Basically, he was helping her with whatever shenanigans were going on with the money. Then he leaves her behind (sob) because he has to get back on the road, a ramblin' man. It could have been a motorcycle instead of a car.
