Seriously, how could they not tell he was a scam artist by looking at him. The guy looked like he was on drugs. I guess Bill Cosby and the writers felt that if Vanessa and her friends actually were able to get into the concert, it would subvert the moral about not going behind your parents' backs to do something you're not supposed to do.

Yes, Claire always seemed to get the most angry at Vanessa. Perhaps she saw the most potential in Van, which is arguably justified. Still, it's moments like that that make me glad to be an only child and not have Claire as a mother.
