At other times in the series, we do see inside -- like when the girls are teaching infant Kathy Jo how to swim -- and they are wearing swimsuits. I wanted also to mention that this water is for the Cannonball's steam -- and is NOT drinking water for Hooterville, as some internet people maliciously claim.

As long as we're talking about the opening scene, with the petticoats hanging on the rim, obviously there were multiple versions as the cast changed. Here's a rundown:

Seasons 1-2: Linda, Jeannine, and Pat (black & white)
Season 3 only: Linda, Lori, and Gunilla
Seasons 4-7: Linda, Lori, and Meredith

If you look closely at the final Seasons 4-7 opening, you will see that it's Gunilla walking down clothed after the girls take a dip -- not Meredith as it should be. The producers didn't bother to re-film that long shot (they simply reused the Season 3 segment).

I noticed that too, that it's Gunilla frolicking down the hill with her sisters, not Meredith. Gun had bushier curlier hair.

I just google pictures of George Maharis, he was good looking back in the day! I remember when Burt Reynolds did the centerfold for Cosmopolitan mag. in the early 70's. I was a little girl, but I totally remember my Mom buzzing about it! LOL! She LOVED Burt Reynolds! ;)

Steve was HOT!!:eek: Mike Minor and his brother too! Gregg Fedderson who played Cissy's boyfriend Gregg on Family affair was Mike Minor's brother. I LOVED Gregg!! :happyface Mike's last name was actually Fedderson. They were the TV producer Don Fedderson's sons. ;)

I will have to make a point of checking out Steve's butt when the fourth season of PJ rolls around again and Mike Minor debuts!;) It was the fourth season right? Henrietta actually had a pretty hot little body, they just uglied her up for the role. The same way they take an actually good looking girl, put glasses on her, put her hair up and dress her in baggy clothes and bad make up and wa la, you've got the typical sitcom "ugly girl". The gal who played Henrietta also played Gidget's girlfriend, Larue. In spite of efforts to dumb down her looks, you could see a sweet body and a good face with a little re-vamping.

As far as Steve goes, I remember he also appears in My 3 Sons (both the early b/w years (looking like he did in P. Junction) and in the final years of the 3 Sons with longer hair & I think a mustache. I didn't know though that he was a Fedderson prodigy, no wonder he got so much work. Same story with Jack Bannon who often had small roles in P. Junction, Bev. Hillbillies, Mannix, and finally a bigger role in Lou Grant, Bannon was the son of Bea Benaderet.

Wow I didn't know Henrietta was played by the girl who was LaRue on Gidget! With those big glasses she was unrecognizable! :eek: You are so right about all the homely and plain Jane girls wore glasses in the sitcoms back than. And really BIG glasses. Almost like men's glasses. :confused: No girl would look good in them. And frumpy clothes , the whole bit.

There should have been an ep where one of the Bradley girls does a make over on Henrietta. Like Marcia Brady did the makeover on Molly Webber (another one with big glasses) and Ginger on Gilligan's island did such a good makeover on Eva Grubb that she turned out looking just like Ginger! :D :lol: They both ended up backstabbing Marcia and Ginger though! :(

An ep that was funny with Henrietta was from season 4, Meredith's first season. In the lobby of the Shady Rest , at the Every other Wednesday afternoon ladies discussion club, Billie Jo and Henrietta in a who's the better secretary contest! ;)
