DWTS Vet Derek Hough Joins "Nashville" Season 3 for Multi-Episode Arc

It seems Derek Hough‘s dancing shoes are taking him all the way to "Nashville". The "Dancing With the Stars" pro has joined the ABC drama for a multi-episode Season 3 arc, TVLine has confirmed.

Hough is slated to play Noah West, a “beguiling and disarming” movie star who, after landing the leading role in a famous country singer’s biopic, encounters Nashville’s music scene for the first time.



This marks the first major acting gig for Hough, who previously guest-starred on the ABC sitcom "Better With You". He will also return as a pro on the upcoming 19th season of "Dancing With the Stars".

"Nashville‘s" third season bows Wednesday, Sept. 24 at 10/9c.

Derek Hough is Headed Back to "Nashville"!

Missing Derek Hough on your TV already now that we know he's officially not returning for "Dancing With the Stars" season 22? Here's some good news: He'll be back to the small screen sooner than you think.

E! News has exclusively confirmed that the reigning DWTS champion is set to reprise his role on "Nashville" later this season for multiple episodes. Hough first recurred on the ABC drama in 2014 as Juliette's (Hayden Panettiere) leading man in the biopic the country-superstar-turned-actress was making about Patsy Cline.





We last saw Hough's smokin' hot movie star Noah West back in season three, when he accidentally caused some drama for Juliette and Avery (Jonathan Jackson) in the episode "Nobody Said It Was Going to Be Easy."

Juliette's baby daddy had just learned of her pregnancy—via text, no less—and paid her a visit on the set of her film, where he found Noah and Juliette together. Naturally, Avery assumed the worst (although the Noah-Juliette encounter was strictly innocent).





There's no word on how, exactly, Noah will return to the fold, but considering the Patsy Cline movie is very clearly awards bait, perhaps he'll reunite with his costar for the long slog of awards season. (Not gonna lie, we wouldn't be mad about seeing Hough rock a tux.)

"Nashville's" fourth season returns to its Wednesday nights at 10 p.m. time slot on March 16 with the long-awaited wedding between Rayna and Deacon.
