As I'm sure most of us here know Green Acres was famous for breaking the fourth wall. This happened mostly with the credits for the producers, writers and directors. I was wondering if anybody had a list and what some your favorites were. I can remember one where they appeared on Lisa's hotcakes and toast and in another episode they were written on eggs that the chickens were sitting on. These always cracked me up.

in one episode the opening scene is Mr. Kimble, Fred Ziffle & Sam Drucker standing in Druckers store talking about something while the DIRECTED BY...PRODUCED BY...etc. are flashing on the screen. Mr.Ziffle stops and says "Hold it! Noones gonna listen to us while those names are appearing."

I can't remember the name of the episode, but I love the one where Eb sings (in Lisa's voice) "Darling, I love you but give me Park Avenue" at the beginning.

It's from the 1st season episode "The Day of Decision". Didn't remember which one it was either until I found this clip:

That was funny and weird. Any other times they broke the fourth wall?

I forget which episode, but once when the executive producer credit appeared, Lisa sprung up in bed and asked, "Oliver, who's Paul Henning?"

In one episode, Lisa actually mentions Jay Sommers and Dick Chevillat (the writers) by name. She says she dreamed their names were floating over the bed.
In another episode, Lisa is hanging up the laundry and when she gets to a "Directed By Richard L. Bare" bathrobe, Eb exclaims, "Mr. Bare's wife has been looking all over for that!"
You could tell the cast and crew had a great time making this show.

That's what made it great.
