Robin Williams was one of the funniest men I have ever seen and also a very good actor who wasn't recognized for it until late in his career. I remember when I first saw him on TV on "Happy Days" in the episode "My Favorite Orkan" and it became one of the best "Happy Days" episodes ever. When he got his own series "Mork & Mindy", then you really saw a comic genius at work. His movie career didn't start off too well (remember "Popeye"?) but movies like "Good Morning Vietnam" and "Mrs Doubtfire" then established him as a star in that field as well. Later he did more serious work in "Patch Adams", "One Hour Photo", "Awakenings", and his Oscar-winning role in "Good Will Hunting" where he proved that he can do dramatic roles as well as comedy.

After more than 35 years away from the small screen he returned last season in "The Crazy Ones" and I was very happy to see him back on TV. I still cannot understand why the show was cancelled. (I wouldn't be surprised if this played a role in his apparent suicide. His comeback should have turned out happier.)

For all of his fans out there, let us not try to remember how he died, or what led him to take his own life, but to look back at the great life he had and how he made us laugh repeatedly on TV and film. Even so, this is still shocking and devastating news to take and I will miss him dearly!

Finally I want to offer this quote from his good friend Michael J Fox (seen with Robin on my new avatar) which I feel describes Robin Williams perfectly:

"Robin Williams is always on, unleashing his rapid-fire, stream-of-consciousness patter on anyone who is lucky enough to be within the sound of his voice or even in his line of vision, and you don't have to "get it" to find him excruciatingly funny.

He is one of the kindest and funniest people I've ever spent an amount of time with."

----Michael J Fox, from his book Always Looking Up pg. 38-39

I'm very sorry for his death, but I never cared for him. If you look up the definition of overrated, you should see his picture.

Robin Williams was a big part of my childhood, he would always put a smile on my face when I would watch one of his comedy's. It is truly sad to see the legend go.

Most recently, Williams had starred in the new CBS sitcom 'The Crazy Ones.' It was cancelled after just one season. At his time of death, a sequel to Mrs. Doubtfire was in the works.

In loving memory of Robin Williams R.I.P. 1951-2014.

This kind of remark will incite big arguments, if you never cared for him don't post anything.

I used to love that movie when I was younger, but I have no idea how I would like it these days.
