This is an extremely bizarre one. The remains of Tom Karambelas were recently found in a warehouse freezer, some 3 years after his disappearance. Weirder still, police had checked the warehouse at least 5 times and never found it, and employees of the warehouse, including his girlfriend, had worked there and never knew a mummified corpse was in there.

Even more baffling, there were many items found in the freezer suggestive that Tim had plan to hide/live there for a while? two cokes, two bags of fritos, a blanket, and a flashlight, among other things. Some have suggested that Tim was murdered and placed in the freezer, but the freezer appeared to have been sealed from the inside. I have never heard of someone committing suicide by freezing themselves. I have no idea what to think. Here are two articles, again you may have to answer a few questions to gain full access to the articles.

The freezer was discovered to be unplugged, so he didn't intend to freeze himself. Perhaps he thought there would be enough ventilation in that freezer to hide out for a few days and then get away. The sheriff surmises that Tom died from inhaling the fumes from the sealants so maybe Tom didn't think that through, or maybe he intended to die from the fumes, the way some people asphyxiate themselves in a car.

Either way, it's a very sad case. An unplugged freezer sealed from the inside? The police should have noticed that during their search. How awful for the family.
