That’s what Brian Moylan is asking: "You know how in the 90s (or in 2014 on CBS) they used to make sitcoms with big stars, laugh tracks, hokey premises and jokes that even borscht-belt comedians thought were old? Well, FX, one of the hippest channels on the dial (oh my god, remember dials?!) just made one of those.” PLUS: It’s vexing like an out-of-tune guitar (http://www.latimes.com/entertainment/tv/la-et-st-partners-20140804-column.html), and it’s a cynical, feckless money-grab by veteran talents (http://www.newsday.com/entertainment/tv/partners-review-equal-opportunity-awfulness-1.8943730) who should know better.

I wasn't going to watch it but after reading those reviews I changed my mind. It sounds like a show I would like. lol

This show was a mess out of the box. From the laugh track lifted from a Disney Channel sitcom to less than energetic performances of the two lead stars no mistake was left unexplored. Lawrence and Grammer were executive producer and director respectively so the combo need to take more than their share of the blame for this fiasco. The writing from the TV veteran staff failed develop even one comedy line and Lawrence performance was substandard by any stretch of the imagination. It's hard to think of a situation where FX would renew this series.

If FX can keep garbage like Charlie Sheen's Anger Management on the air then there's hope for people who like to watch crap.

Honestly, these 10/90 series deals are just stupid.

I seen the first episode it was pretty good actually, and Telma Hopkins is also in the show playing Martin's mother. I think the show will be a hit.

I kind of like it! The first episode wasn't laugh out loud funny, but the next few episodes were cute.
