One of my very favorite episodes is THREE TO GET READY where Gilligan finds the Eye of Metuzar and gets three wishes. His first and second wishes are ice cream, which are found floating in the lagoon.
After watching each episode, I am follow along in the episode portion of "The Unofficial Gilligan's Island Handbook" and read what comments they have on each episode. The read is quite interesting.
Usually, the comments are things that are overlooked. I was expecting to read something about the Professor's theory on how the ice cream arrived, but they did not.
The books comment over this episode: The Skipper foolishly allows Gilligan to save his last wish for the castaways' rescue.
My comment would have been: If the Professor believed in his theory that the ice cream was dropped from a plane or ship, why didn't he start looking for the craft? How far away could the vessel have been? The ice cream wasn't melted and they were in a tropical climate.
