View Full Version : Willona was so damm immature during the James Evans era
TVFactFan 07-31-2014, 11:59 PM Spreading people's personal business......Wanda/Gurdy
Name Calling.........Bookman
Never offering to help someone with money issues and always claiming she was broke........Wanda/Florida and James
Her job not hiring Florida and joking around
Not wanting to date Walter after finding out he was deaf
She was so unlikable from season 1 to season 3. She didn't stiop being a clown until season 4. I still say she was the "female JJ" lol

Wilona always laughed at her own jokes too!

And why did she feel the need to spread Wanda's business about being 3 months behind in her rent if she wasn't going to help her ? LOL

yep. Gossiping too much !! In real life in a rough neighborhood/building like that she would have gotten her A** kicked for telling peoples business when they are down anyway. Worst thing is to have somebody talk about you behind your back when things are going bad for you!
And Wilona was notorious for hanging around the Evan's apt. even when she knew she was getting on Jame's nerves!

Exactly, and as soon as they looked at her about helping Wanda she says......"Honey, don't look at me"
Damm I hated her before season 4 lol
Janice Johnson 08-03-2014, 08:38 AM Somebody else mentioned it too. They asked ,"Is it just me, or was Willona kind of useless in the first three sessons? She just cracked one liners and left. Weird."

She did offer James $15 in "Getting up the rent" that she was saving for a rainy day.

I saw it and she did offer and James said he don't take no handouts.

she said they could get emergency funds at the welfare office and he said he ain't taking no handouts
ThomasE 08-17-2014, 12:07 AM True but Wilona did offer rainy day money.
Brieannas21 08-17-2014, 06:55 PM I don't think that she was immature, she was supposed to be the typical gossipy neighbor.

spreading around news about a person about to get evicted and not planning on helping is not immature?

I don't think it was immature, her gossiping is what got Wanda's rent paid. If Willona had never opened her mouth, Wanda would have been out on the street.

Agreed. It worked out in the end.

True but she still did nothing to help the situation, it was all Florida

Willona did get the ball rolling, Florida brought up the idea, but it was a group effort to put on the party. So everyone (except JJ) played a part in getting Wanda's rent paid.

No she didn't, her exact words were
"honey don't look at me, the banks don't cash my checks anymore they just look at them and laugh"
I would have said........."Well why the hell did you bring up her situation if you are unable to do anything"
LOL

No you wouldn't. Knowing you, you would have problem said "Oh Well" and continued on with your day. When Florida said something like "Do you remember what we used to do when....." and James and Willona both said "Rent Party" at the same time.
Yong Fang 08-23-2014, 05:24 AM Wasn't she like a buyer for a boutique or something? A single woman with a full time job, why in the hell was she in the projects?

Just because she was working does not mean that she was making enough to live someplace else. There are a lot of people now who are working fulltime jobs and they are struggling to pay their bills.

Still didn't make sense for a single person to be in a low income housing projects which was designed for families
She was taking up a spot that could have been used for a woman with a kid
hatwink 08-25-2014, 04:08 PM I would've loved to have seen an episode where she "broke" Michael in.
