I’ve been thinking of a segment that I don’t believe has garnered much discussion. It was about a man who opened several savings accounts at banks in the Midwest, but never came back to claim the money. If I remember correctly, this was in the 30’s and 40’s, and there was speculation he may have been a traveling salesman. Maybe not the most intriguing segment, but I always enjoyed it and wondered about the man’s true identity. I’ve forgotten quite a few of the details. Does anyone have any additional info and/or theories?

Was this the Curly Green case?

If not, try these: http://unsolvedmysteries.wikia.com/wiki/Special:Search?search=heirs&fulltext=Search&ns0=1&ns14=1

No, it was definitely not Curly Green.

The person in question was a traveling salesman whose true identity was never fully confirmed, IIRC. There was some speculation about criminal ties, wasn't there?

Yes, it's George Stein. Not sure I would have ever remembered that. Thanks!
