The world of "Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D." is about to get even more geektastic.

Former "Xena" star Lucy Lawless is heading to ABC's super series in Season 2, TVGuide.com has learned exclusively.



In true Marvel fashion, details on her role and how long she'll be sticking around are being kept under wraps.

"Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D." returns Tuesday, Sept. 23 at 9/8c on ABC.

If looks could kill…

As previously reported, TV’s erstwhile Xena will debut in the season opener, titled 'Shadows', as Isabelle Hartley, a veteran S.H.I.E.L.D. agent who is — it should totally go without saying — “tough,” EP Maurissa Tancharoen has affirmed. “She may have a knife that’s always by her side.”
