The fans can offer their suggestions about the show but in the end it's the writers, producers, etc.. who decide in which direction to take the show. I get so tired of reading about a vocal minority of viewers that want to change these characters into something different than what they've been for the last 9 or 10 years. If they have a problem with the characters being straight then why not go watch something else.
