Across the pond it is July 14, often referred to as Bastille Day (The French call it La Fete National) It is to France what Independence Day is to us. :patriot:

On this side of the Atlantic I call July 14 "Snatching Victory from the jaws of defeat day". Here's why.

In July of 2010 I decided to fly to New England on my annual Coaster Trip. On July 14 it was time to return home. :( I checked in at the airport and was told that the flight may be overbooked, and would I liked to volunteer to get "bumped". (My Answer, Is the Pope Catholic?) :happyface I made made my way to the departure gate via TSA's "T&I" (Torture and Interrogation). About five minutes before departure I was called, and was told they didn't need me, and I took my seat. I hadn't sat down for a minute when I was called to the front of the plane. They needed my seat after all! :bump On Halloween Weekend I used my free ticket to take on Texas's Roller Coasters. pumpkin: I got to do both of their Six Flags parks for Free because I had purchased their New England parks Season Pass (It was cheaper to buy a Season Pass than it was to buy a Three-Day Pass). I also visited their Sea World and purchased their park's two-year pass because it was just as good at the Florida Parks as it was at the Texas park, and $160.00 Cheaper!

PS. On my October trip I got ANOTHER Free Airline Ticket! :D    :rotflmao: :brent
