Friday night's Dateline with Keith Morrison, One Summer Night, was really something else. It covers the case of Linda LeBlane who suffered terribly at the hands of four monsters who attacked her and left her for dead. It's what happens afterwards that's the real story. I don't want to give the rest away, and don't read the comment section on this youtube if you want to go in with a completely open mind.

If you haven't seen it and have a couple of hours to spare, get ready for your blood to boil. Dateline's Facebook page has been on fire all weekend. It's really touched a nerve in many people, including me.

I'm angry with the system as well. Linda LaBrane is a real piece of nasty work. She enjoys her victim status too much and won't admit that she sent the wrong woman to prison. Sarah Pearce is 5'6", not 5'1". She's not Spanish and doesn't speak that language and she's not very pretty as described.

Those who ID'd Sarah, ended up recanting. There's zero evidence against her. That's why they offered Sarah that deal, making her giving Linda $50 a month. Sickening, 12 years in jail for a crime she didn't commit, and she has to pay Linda. Unreal, Linda should be paying her. Linda was victimized, no doubt, but she's turned into the victimizer. Sad story.

I recorded & watched that. I felt sorry for that girl who spent all those years in prison and it's a shame she had to take that awful deal in order to get out. It makes me question the whole justice system. Several people came forward & said she wasn't the girl who attacked Linda and she really didn't fit the original description that Linda gave. But Linda believes it was her and she won't even consider that it could be anyone else.

I don't think that Linda believes it was Sarah who attacked her. That simply defies logic. If she admits she was wrong after all these years, she gets a big dent in her victim status, and Sarah will be vindicated. I really think that Linda is enjoying her victim status and doesn't want to share the stage with Sarah, especially considering that she's responsible.

Linda was no doubt victimized, but I've lost all sympathy for her since she's become the victimizer. Good discussion going on here.

It is really infuriating when these so called "authorities" won't admit that they are wrong.
It reminds me of how the state of Arkansas sentenced Damien Echols to death for a crime he did not commit. Damien spent over a decade in jail and was repeatedly raped.
Instead of admitting they were wrong, the "authorities" finally let him and the other wrongly accused in this case (Jason Baldwin and Jesse Miskelly) out of prison ONLY if they would concede that the "authorities" had enough evidence to put them away.
THERE WAS NO EVIDENCE!
The West Memphis 3 (Damien, Jason and Jesse) were innocent just like Sarah! :mad:
