Thank you for answering my post. :) I thought I'd just start a thread in case anyone else is a Honey Boo Boo fan. I didn't really pursue it or post any further till somebody posted back because with reality shows either people love them or hate them. :)

I have been watching HBB since the beginning. They may be rednecks and overweight, but really nice down to earth people. :) They are entertaining.:D Sometimes they are a little crude and over the top, but they are really funny and very family oriented people with hearts of gold! :)

I made fun of the show, but as I got into it more I have enjoyed the show. I have respect for Mama June she does love her kids and it shows. They are rich now in the 1st season they got 2000 per show, for season 3 they got a hefty raise 20,000 per show. Mama June puts away a percentage for the kids in a trust that they cannot touch until they're 21. Hopefully the money won't go to their heads.

I never miss Honey Boo Boo. The show can be really stupid and disgusting at times, but I still think it's entertaining and fun to watch! I thought that Anna was really pretty for her wedding. I just can't imagine that a family that's probably gotten money from Alana's pageants and being on TV every week can't afford to buy a house. They only rent the one they live in and it's not in very good shape. (Part of that's probably because of the way they treat it!)
I wish they'd put full episodes on Youtube or release more DVDs.:)

Thank you for responding to my thread!! :) Yes, Alana and her family are very entertaining! And I mean that in a good way. I don't judge them , I think they are really good people! I haven't missed an ep. and I'm loving them like they are my own family! :)

Anna did look beautiful at her wedding!!!! :) I was crying! It was like she was my own daughter or a niece getting married! And her and her new husband Michael are moving to Alabama now away from her family! :( But I like Michael, I think he is a good guy, and he really loves Anna and Kaitlyn! And Baby Kaitlyn is SO adorable!!!! :) I just love her. I can see how Grandma June and Anna's sisters (her aunts) are really upset about them leaving! :(

:lol: :lol: :lol: Me too! They also remind me of a real life Roseanne. I thought Anna acted like a brat getting mad at June for being bossy, if she would have gotten up off her lazy butt and handled the things that were not getting done for the Wedding June wouldn't have nagged her.

I'm sad about Anna, Michael and Kaitlyn moving to Alabama, away from the family. But I'm also sad that they most likely won't be on the show anymore! It will make for a couple of funny eps though. I can see a road trip . Alana, Pumpkin, Jessica, June and Sugar bear driving from Georgia to Alabama to visit them!

One of the funniest times ( it was two or maybe even three eps) was when they took a road trip in an RV !! Uncle Lee (Poodle) as Alana calls him was with them!

Poor Uncle Poodle!!! He had every right to complain. He was the one that had to clean out the tank or whatever it is called , where people go to the bathroom in an RV!!! :( :eek: He also did most of the driving!

If I remember correctly, that was the deal for him to come along on the trip. Maybe he didn't have to pay or not pay as much? IDK because who would want that bathroom job? EWW!!!! :(

Uncle Poodle and Sugar Bear too, seem to get the short end of the stick in a lot of situations I have noticed! Those Red neck women seem to rule the roost! :D

I think Sugar Bear never liked being on TV to begin with. Sad for Alana.

What's going to happen to the show now that Mr. & Mrs. Boo Boo are splitting up?

I'm sad to hear this. Hopefully they will work it out and get back together. They are good for each other. Sugar Bear really seemed to love her. He is such a good guy.

It is a shame for Alana! And the three other girls as well. He is the only father figure they ever knew. And now a grandfather for Anna's baby. So hoping they get back together!

And for my own reasons, if the Honey Boo Boo show continues it just won't be the same without Good ole' Sugar Bear, he had some funny comments!

There are so many people in this world that could and would create a profile in his name for NO reason except that they can. People use other people's names, photo's etc... on Facebook all the time. There are even cases now where these people are filing Lawsuits because Facebook refused to take down the fake profiles and pictures.

I think you may be right. Besides that, I don't think it would be in his heart to do that. He's a kind hearted guy and he wouldn't do that to June that quickly after a breakup. Not to mention it would upset his daughter Alana and the three older girls that he pretty much raised and loved as his own. ;)

I don't think it's in his nature, it's not him that started the profile! :(

I really like the show and that mama june is a couponer like me....I really enjoy the shows when she goes couponing with her daughters.

Reality TV fans may love the bubbly Honey Boo Boo, but the new man in her mom's life? Not so much.

The future of the hit TLC show "Here Comes Honey Boo Boo" is now in question following a TMZ.com report that series matriarch Mama June (June Shannon) is dating a convicted child sex offender.





The site reports that Mama June, who separated from Sugar Bear in September, has been dating Mark McDaniel for several months. McDaniel was convicted of aggravated child molestation in 2004 — during which time June was allegedly seeing him. Prosecutors alleged that he forced oral sex on an 8-year-old who is related to June, according to TMZ.

McDaniel served 10 years behind bars and was released this past March. He is now a registered sex offender in the state of Georgia.




TLC issued a statement Thursday to TVGuide.com in response to the report:

"TLC is not currently in production on Here Comes Honey Boo Boo. We are very concerned about this new information and are reassessing the future of the series."

A day after reports emerged that "Here Comes Honey Boo Boo" matriarch Mama June might be dating a convicted child molester, TLC has pulled the plug on the show, TVGuide.com has confirmed.

"TLC has cancelled the series Here Comes Honey Boo Boo and ended all activities around the series, effective immediately," the network said in a statement Friday. "Supporting the health and welfare of these remarkable children is our only priority. TLC is faithfully committed to the children's ongoing comfort and well-being."





TMZ on Thursday reported that June Shannon aka "Mama June" is romantically involved with Mark McDaniel, 53, who was released from prison earlier this year after serving 10 years on charges that he had forced oral sex on an 8-year-old child who is allegedly one of June's relatives.

June denied the reports and said she dated McDaniel 10 years ago, but not since then.





"I want to make a post trying to clear up the rumors remember you can't believe everything you read!" June wrote on Honey Boo Boo's Facebook page Thursday.

"Ppl sell stories to the tabloid everyday that r false! It isnt [sic] true i promise my kids r #1 priority over anything else and I would never put them in danger period over this or anything else they r my life this is my past I left him 10 yrs ago for it and I wouldn't go back."

June's 14-year-old daughter Lauryn "Pumpkin" Shannon also told RadarOnline the rumors were false. "My mom left Mark 10 years ago," she said. "They haven't seen nor talked [to each other] in 10 years."





As part of its original report, TMZ posted a recent photo of June and McDaniel together in a hotel room. June, 35, split from Mike "Sugar Bear" Thompson last month.

TLC has a full season of new "Here Comes Honey Boo Boo" episodes that it will not air, but the network will pay to provide tutoring and counseling services to June's children, according to TMZ, which was the first to report the cancellation news.





Shortly after TLC canceled the show, June posted a "truth video" on Facebook, again denying reports that she and McDaniel are involved and thanking fans for their support.

I don't think TLC would have dropped this show (which must be profitable for them) if they didn't have definitive proof that June was seeing this convicted child molester.

The truth is, imo, that this show should have been cancelled a long time ago. It seems like it exists so that people can laugh at this family and their unique sort of dysfunction. The little girl seems very unhealthy and in need of rescue. I hope that TLC helps this family get on track.

Couldn't agree more. The show is disgusting, and it just seems like one of those, "Look at the freaks!" type of shows.

One of Mama June’s daughters, the now 20-year old Anna Cardwell (aka Chickadee), has come forward saying she was a victim of Mark McDaniel at age eight (McDaniel got out of prison this past March).

That’s a reversal from this morning, when Anna was quoted by Radar, saying “I know for a fact it’s not true,” regarding the reports about her mother’s rekindled relationship with the man who molested her, adding, “The person behind this, all I got to say is he or she is trying to tear the family apart, which isn’t right one bit.”



TLC, which cut ties to the show after confirming details of June’s renewed relationship with McDaniel, has offered counseling to Anna, the network said.

Anna decided to come forward when she became convinced her mother was again seeing McDaniel.

From what I was reading Anna is feeling very hurt and betrayed. That poor kid. TLC offered to get counseling for her, I hope she takes them up on it.
I don't know how CPS will handle this but those kids needs protection and if they don't remove them from the home, they better keep an eye on June so they aren't around her boyfriend in the future.

So many children are abused and molested but when a mother turns around and starts seeing that man after the fact! NO EXCUSE for what she has done! :mad:

It breaks my heart thinking about what the kids will have to deal with now from other kids. None of this is their fault, they are just a product of their environment.
On one hand I feel certain the ones in the home will want to defend their mother because she was sneaking off to meet the man so they don't truly know anything except what she tells them. They may not even believe Anna who lived the nightmare. Sad situation.
