1. Cashier or employee telling you something is sold out and adds nothing else to it
OR
2. After you purchase you bring your item to the counter you are asked what for your email, address, and telephone number?
I choose 1 because I never felt someone gets paid to say....."we have no more" without providing other options
What's more annoying to you?

I get annoyed at both but probably at the 2nd choice a little more. Most of the stores I shop at have several locations in my area including CVS, Walgreens, Dollar Tree, Rite Aid, Etc... so if an item is sold out I can either get a raincheck or simply go to another location.
CVS has an annoying habit of asking for my E-mail even though it's in their records and linked to my CVS Extra Care card #, they still ask for it almost everytime I buy something.

My response to the email thing is always........"Can I skip this because I have no interest in it"
