You need to put stubborn pride aside when your family is poor. James was a fool. The money they should have got for J.J.'s painting could have bought a lot of nice groceries.

Damn, James was an IDIOT. What gives him the right to say that J.J. can't sell HIS painting? And J.J. was generous. You know that money would have gone to grocery bills or something that would benefit the entire family. James stubborn pride was STUPID and destructive.

That was an AWESOME mural! I remember the dudes playing pool, the stair cases, etc. And if I remember correctly, that bank guy was an a@@hole who didn't want to pay J.J. for all of his hard work because he didn't feel it reflected a positive lifestyle for ghetto youth. 'effing idiot! That was a display of a TALENTED person living in the ghetto...J.J....
