I am trying to remember a case that I saw on tv. I would appreciate any help with trying to remember where I saw this. I tried skimming through the UM episodes thread but didn't see anything that sounded like it, but then again I could be wrong. I will try to provide as many details as I can remember, though it is a bit hazy.

The case was about a family found dead. The key detail of the case I think was that one boy perhaps in his teens was found dead outside his home in the front yard area. The rest of the family, I can't remember how many children, was found inside the home. I think this was a shooting that happened at night and the family was found in the morning. The mother and a male (can't remember if it was a father, stepfather, boyfriend) were found in a living room area sort of near chairs and the children I think were found in their rooms. Unfortunately, I can't remember any suspects.

Sounds similar to the murdered twins case the teenage brother... Donny I think, but the names escape me at the moment. The two twin sisters were murdered by their brother. He shot them with shot guns. He then set the house on fire and only he and the parents escaped. But Bly the sisters died. That is the closest I can think of to what you describe.

Wow, thank you for the quick replies sorry it's taken me so long to respond. The case doesn't trigger any memories, unfortunately. I don't remember there being twins involved. I think the key detail was that the teenage son was found outside the home in the front yard sort of area. He may have been woken up by the intruder or whoever it was. I hope I am not just confused with some other tv show. I seem to remember this from a while ago.

There is also another case that I am trying to remember. An elderly couple were killed with the husband in one area and the wife in front of the computer. Suspicion was strongly on their grown son. The husband had been thinking of cutting off his son who had run in to money problems. He did some suspicious things. He had a check from his father that he immediately cashed or something and he faked getting a note from 'suspects' to the police. I must have seen this one more recently because it is a little bit fresher in my mind.

doesn't sound like the Hansen case at all. The parents and the son all lived in that one, in the case she's describing, they don't.
