I always thought he was. Just a crook who has made illegal investments, land deals, insider trading, etc. Not a bad guy, but someone who loves money so much he did whatever he could to get all he can get.

His wife was a biatch, and the series finale should have been Drysdale and Miss Hathaway absconding all the money and going to Brazil with the Clampett's penniless and moving back home for the hills. That is what should have happened.

I think he was just greedy. I don't think there was ever an intention to write him as a criminal. He just lived for the Almighty dollar!

Mrs. Drysdale was just a snooty socialite that was a characterization of that image. I think she might have been more cold-hearted than Mr. Drysdale, but she could never defeat the Clampetts. She always wound up with egg on her face.

Um...aren't all bank presidents corrupt?
