Hello out there from TV Land,

It's been a while since I posted here, but just a bit ago I was thinking of an episode of "Blossom" that should have been made but never was.

If I had written an episode of "Blossom," I would have called the episode "And Starring Kirk Cameron as Himself." The episode storyline would have had Blossom (Mayim Bialik) win a Bop Magazine-type contest to meet Kirk Cameron on the set of "Growing Pains." I would have had the episode made in the 1st season (1991-1992) of the show and had Kirk Cameron make a Special Guest Appearance as himself, with the episode taped at the Warner Bros. Studios in Beautiful Downtown Burbank, where Blossom & her father Nick (Ted Wass) and brothers Tony (Michael Stoyanov) and Joey (Joey Lawrence) spend a day on the set of "Growing Pains" and Blossom, as part of winning the contest, even taping a fictional "Growing Pains" episode.

What do you guys think? Do you think this should have happened? If so, are you disappointed this episode was never taped or even considered a possibility during "Blossom's" 4 successful seasons? Respond here. Thanks.

Growing Pains was ABC, Blossom was NBC. No way a crossover episode was going to happen.

The one problem w/ doing a crossover (besides airing on different networks) is that Blossom was produced by Touchstone Television (now ABC Studios) while Growing Pains was produced by Warner Bros. Not only that, this was more than likely around the time in which Kirk Cameron had entered full blown "religious zealot" mode, and had pretty much destroyed/wrecked havoc Growing Pains, w/ his antics. So naturally, there comes concern that Cameron would easily object to anything that finds remotely risque.
