View Full Version : Alaska family of 4 missing
wiseguy182 06-24-2014, 07:19 AM Is this the new McStays/Jamesons? Alaska family of 4 + dog missing. The neighborhood they live in is described as transitory.

MegtheEgg86 06-24-2014, 01:39 PM I wonder if the children are biologically Adams' and Jividen's. She would have been a young teenager at the time of the oldest child's birth, and Jividen would have been in his early '30s. As they all have different last names, I don't think this is the case. Just a curious thing that I noticed.
wiseguy182 06-25-2014, 04:08 AM Jividen is not the father (unintentional Maury Povich impression there), although they were all living together and the media is referring to them as a family.
wiseguy182 07-15-2014, 01:19 PM Here is the latest on this: The search for them is the country's largest in 20 years. Adams's mother continues to be the recipient of heavy speculation: some time ago, she and her boyfriend at the time (a registered sex offender) were arrested on various drug and alcohol charges, gun theft and sexually mistreating a 14 year old girl.

wiseguy182 12-15-2014, 09:33 AM Damn, still missing. 20/20 or some show needs to cover this case.
I'm starting to get a real bad feeling on this one.
Much of Alaska is vast wilderness, so it's possible they may never be found.

LooksLikeCRicci 03-23-2015, 05:59 PM I wouldn't be shocked if it were them.
...I would also not be surprised if it were another missing family. Or family that hadn't been reported missing yet. Alaska, kinda like Montana, is a place that people who want to vanish love to habitate. I've lived in both states. Pretty light population and people cherish their right to privacy...

I see what you're saying, but it's pretty rare for an entire family to go missing. It usually generates big headlines when it happens (McStays, Jamesons)
LooksLikeCRicci 03-24-2015, 11:18 AM Don't get me wrong. I remember there being a cover story in People magazine about this family. The whole thing, like the McStays, seems "off" somehow. I don't believe they left of their own volition.
EDIT: According to Fox News, it looks like a murder-suicide (http://www.foxnews.com/us/2015/03/23/clothing-human-remains-found-in-alaska-may-be-linked-to-missing-family/).
wiseguy182 03-27-2015, 12:12 AM the adults have been identified. Still waiting results on the children, but no reason to think it's not them at this point. The dog is dead also. Somebody's responsible for 5 murders!

Has the murder-suicide angle been dropped? Last I heard, AK police were looking at it as a murder-suicide...

You are correct, police ruled it a murder-suicide according to this article from earlier this month.

Sadly, this type of this is becoming too common nowadays. If he was going to kill himself anyways, why did he feel the need to end the lives of 4 innocent souls as well? Horrible.
