Hey Happy Days i have a question, i totally understand that happy days evolved around the 50s and 60s even though it was done in the 1970s but i heard people saying that the reason why happy days was so important was because it reflected the vietium war which i still do not no what is has to do with tghe series can somebody kindle shed some light on that

I don't really understand that. I've heard that MASH reflected the Vietnam War but not Happy Days. The only thing I can think of is that it reflected a longing for the good old days of the 1950's. I know 50's nostalgia was big in the 1970's.

I saw an interview with Gary Marshall, he sated people were exhausted from Vietnam that was on the news every night. Seeing images, of death, and war was just too much. Happy Days came along at the right time. People needed a break to when things were simpler. You can find the interview on Youtube.
