"The Bold and the Beautiful" Named World Ratings Champion

On Wednesday at the Monte-Carlo Television Festival, the long-running CBS daytime soap "The Bold and the Beautiful" received this year’s International Television Audience Award for Soap Opera.

It is awarded to the daytime drama series scoring the highest ratings worldwide.

They're number one now!?!?! WOW. They beat Y&R.

I think there number 1 overall in the world. I think in the US, Y&R is still number 1. I will say I'm really not surprised at B&B being number 1. I mean they always do fancy and exotic shoots all over the world.

Proof that outside North America, people are desperate for something to watch.
Anyone on these boards who is familiar with BB would know how bad that show is.

The fact that for the first time ever the Daytime Emmy's won't be televised, tells you how low the audience is.
