"Modern Family" Named World Ratings Champion

On Wednesday at the Monte-Carlo Television Festival, the ABC sitcom "Modern Family" received this year’s International Television Audience Award for Comedy.

It is awarded to the comedy series scoring the highest ratings worldwide.

Good for them. I'm honestly surprised The Big Bang Theory didn't rank as the number 1 comedy though.
