I actually like most of these shows, but a lot of people complain about these shows.

Friends, I seriously don't know why this show is such a hit. I think its terrible.

Rosanne. I've always hated that show.

Yeah I know I will probably get slagged for this but I DID NOT!! like MASH!!! one of the worst shows evr created as far as Im concerned!!!

Well I like most of them too, but if I have to pick, Roseanne.

Family Matters. The rest of the cast was tossed to the wayside to make room for 'Urkel', and that boy is funny for all of a minute. The you just want to choke him until his voice sounds normal. :)

These are shows that I absolutely detested and found completely unfunny

1. Family Matters- aka The Urkel Show
Had potential until that annoying goofball took over every scene!

2. Full House
When the hell was this drippy, syrupy, corny show EVER funny???

3. A Different World
First season was good and could've blossomed into something great if Lisa Bonet and Marissa Tomei stayed. When they left, the show began to beat everybody over the head with the race issue and to be honest the show was poorly cast after the two stars I mentioned left.

4. Wings
I never understood how this show ever lasted as long as it did. I guess they wanted to keep the creators of Cheers happy by giving this train wreck a long shelf life.

5. Yes Dear
Another horrible show that gets good ratings just because it's sandwiched between two legitimate hits.

I know it's not a sitcom, but another show that I don't understand the popularity of is Touched by an Angel. I do like the message that the show tries to send, but it's the same basic plot week after week. It's so sappy, boring, and melodramatic too.

I have to say Roseanne.

LOL...I'm the one who started this topic, and I didn't even say what I voted for. Well, my vote went for Full House. I liked it as a kid, but NOW???? It's a little too cheesy for my tastes.

I vote for "Friends". I think it has set the standard for all of the bad T.V. that has dominated the landscape for the last 5 to 10 years.

I used to think that prime time T.V. was going through a short down phase (like the late 70's/early 80's were) and would spring back in a few seasons.

But I'm beginning to think we have nothing but so-called reality T.V., news magazines (soap opera disguised as news), and "sitcoms about nothing" as far as the eyes can see.

Rosanne.. i cant stand her, she always bugged me.. and that national anthem.. whoa neway.. and her show is nasty. lol

Family matters... that show got really stupid towards the end of the series.

This is an older sitcom, but the one show I never liked was "Murphy Brown." It ran for what, ten seasons, and it won a ton of Emmys, but I hated it! I never found it funny.
Everyone on that show was so friggin annoying!

I cant belive Roseanne is on has one of the shows you wish were never a hit. I love that show it is so funny. It isn't your sugar coated show. Like most shows have been, since television sitcoms were invented. The worst show by far is not a show of the 90's but a show of the 60's actually two shows of the sixties. Bewitched and I Dream of Jeannie how unfunny were those shows. so any moron who doesn't like Roseanne. get with it we are not living in the 50's programming has changed since then. Plus Roseanne was one of the highest rated tv shows of the 90's.

You don't seem like a shy guy to me....lol.... I like Roseanne...I still watch it on TBS. But the reason why I put it on the poll was because I heard a lot of people dissing the show.

I totally agree! Roseanne is the best. The family is so
dysfunctional, but it's realistic because most families
in real life are like that. Well, mine is. :D

I can watch what I want to watch.I bet it'd intrest you that the longest running sitcom was from the 50s/60s??I like Roseanne too.But this site isn't for people who only like current sitcoms.We come here because we like talking about CLASSIC faves so if you come here telling people to get with it and leave the 50s show alone, you are picking the wrong bones.I'd rather watch all 275 episodes of Donna Reed than watch just 5 episodes of Friends.

Oh ok. Friends later lasted 10 seasons. There were other shows lasted longer than 10 seasons, like Cheers, Frasier, and yet those were not listed..

Why would I hate a show and wish it was never a hit? If I don’t like it I’d just not watch it.

Yeah I don't care that Friends was a hit I just never wanted to watch it.

I tried watching Friends back in the 90's and couldn't get into it, then I finally took the plunge by streaming the whole series on HBO Max by watching 2-3 episodes daily and yep I still don't get why it became so popular.

It's the same with Seinfeld, sure the show is funny I can't argue but as the funniest show ever in the history of television?! Fat chance.

It would be hard for me to watch stuff with re-programmed robots in it.....
