The show started in 1989 and has been on basically for two whole decades and probably half of this decade. So when the program is no longer current, which decade will the show be placed?
How is a show placed by decades here? I noticed that "The Brady Bunch" is a 1970's show, even though the show started in '69 (that show to me is a lot more late 1960's than 70's, even though it went on until 1974). Leave It to Beaver is a 1950's show here, because I suppose it started in the 1950's, in 1957, but it went on to 1963.
But I would like to know about where The Simpsons will be categorized if and when FOX ever cancels. I say the 1990's. That's when the show was great. After 2000, it stinks, and it has been on way too long. Again, off the subject.
I vote 1990's if the Moderators on this board are having this timely debate (or ask Matt Groening by e-mail).
