What if there was a Gilligan's Island to tour? What do you think would be on the island to make people want to visit?

Would they want to see the island the way it was or would there be more amusement park rides and such?

I can imagine a ride designed after Gilligan making his own wings from bird feathers. HA!

First of all, you should only be able to arrive on the island from the SS Minnow sailing between the island and the mainland. (Don't forget, there would be a free lunch involved.)

What do you think you would be able to buy on the island?

Of course, souvenir shirts...

Mary Ann's coconut cream pie?

Dawn Well's Gilligan's Island Cook Book?

Gilligan's "island syrup"?

A hat just like Gilligan's and the Skippers?

Voodoo dolls?

All those souvenirs sound really cool. The island looks like it's somewhere near Tahiti, so it would be a great tourist attraction.

Well, The Castaways on Gilligan's Island and The Harlem Globetretters on Gilligan's Island turned Gilligan's Island into a tourist resort . On the subject of things you could buy, you could have Tina Louise Leggy Showgirl costumes, Mary Ann "country girl" costumes, Gilligan and Skipper costumes, Gilligan -- style sailor's hats, Skipper -- style captain's hats, T -- shirts, cutoff blue jeans, sandals, Gilligan's Island DVDs, Mary Ann's coconut cream pie, etc .

Books about Gilligan's Island are an entirely different subject . You have Dawn Wells Gilligan's Island Cook Book by Dawn Wells and Ken Beck, What Would Mary Ann Do ? by Dawn Wells and Steve Stinson, Here on Gilligan's Isle by Russell Johnson and Steve Cox, Inside Gilligan's Island by Sherwood Schwartz, The Unofficial Gilligan's Island Handbook by Joey Green, Gilligan, Maynard, and Me by Bob Denver, Gilligan's Dreams by Dreama Denver, and TV Treasures # 1 -- Gilligan's Island by Sylvia Stoddard, . I checked Amazon for the correct titles of these books . Amazon mentioned other books that pertain to Gilligan's Island, and they should be included .

I once had a catalog of humorous and fun items, and one thing it featured was a T -- shirt with Bob Denver's picture inside a ship's steering wheel, and the words "First Mate" and "S . S . Minnow" . I ordered one, and they ran out on
me . I have a friend who looks like Bob Denver, and his birthday is in early October, a few weeks before Halloween . One year on his birthday, I told him we should have given him a red long -- sleeved polo shirt with a white collar, a pair of light blue jeans, and a white sailor's hat, and he could wear them on Halloween .

Other souvenirs could be Headhunter dolls , Mrs. Howell hats and parasols . As for food, Mary Ann's coconut cream pie would be delicious. Ginger's fish pie not so much ( remember the ep that Mary Ann thought she was Ginger, so Ginger had to pretend she was Mary Ann and do the cooking, and she made fish pie, a big fish covered in dough ewwwwww!!!! LOL!!! )
