Chuck Lorre has owed us all an apology for a while — and he knows it.
At Sunday’s Television Academy Honors, which recognize television that generates awareness regarding social issues, Lorre was honored for an episode of "Mom" that focuses on Allison Janney’s character, an alcoholic who falls off the wagon and tries to repair her life.
As Lorre accepted the award, he poked fun at his mega-successful sitcom "Two and a Half Men".
According to Variety, Lorre jokingly told the crowd, “To do a show about people trying to redeem their lives and to salvage and repair the damage they’ve done — for me, it’s an opportunity to apologize for Two and a Half Men.”
