I just watched the final one with the Globetrotters. It was SO WEIRD that Thurston Howell the IV was in that movie. They never had a son. Perhaps they adopted.

I've seen them all and you can easily find and play them all on youtube.

My all time favorite was Surviving Gilligan's Island.

I thought Rescue from Gilligan's Island was the best from the bunch.
But anything after that was not good at all. The actors were just too old to do it anymore and much of the magic from 1964-1966 was gone. I think why the TV show was so popular in my opinion was in the 1960s the actors were all so much younger. The later movies only Maryann still looked exactly the same and was still passable.

But why was the TV show so good? It was done really well. The fans were often teased every episode they'd actually be rescued but never were. SO close yet again, still stuck on the island. Not to mention, originality, wit, fine comic acting ambience and atmosphere. The characters are relatable. There's someone on the show that everyone can identify with.

Also the way it ended it (cancelled because of Gunsmoke). ALL of us were LEFT wanting more!

It was cancelled while still in it's peak! Always leave the audience wanting more. Well we REALLY did!

When a sports player stays in the sport too long and it's painful to watch, this never happened to this show.
